Attorney Pamela Lynn Brause is a partner at the firm, and has been practicing since 1982.
She is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
Ms. Brause graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers College, and a Juris Doctor from Rutgers Law School.
She is a member of the Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers of New Jersey, the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Middlesex County Bar Association.
She has been appointed to serve as a Middlesex County Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist, and as a 2014-2015 Middlesex County Bar Foundation Trustee. She has also served on the Middlesex County Assignment Judge’s Criminal Lawyers Committee, and as co-chair of the Middlesex County Bar Association Criminal Committee. She has served in theses capacities with distinction.
She has lectured on criminal trial practice and attorney ethics. She has also appeared as a guest commentator on Court TV, and she has also been interviewed on ABC, NBC, and CBS News on cases in the news, such as the “Sayreville Seven,” in which she represented one of the Sayreville High School football players whom was accused of hazing.
Ms. Brause has considerable litigation experience throughout the Courts of New Jersey, having tried more than 100 cases, including criminal jury trials, divorce and custody plenary hearings, civil lawsuits, and workers’ compensation trials. She is also one of the few attorneys in the State of New Jersey who has tried several capital murder trials.
Ms. Brause’s criminal practice includes the defense of individuals charged with indictable crimes ranging from the most serious violent crimes and drug charges to those charged with DWI and other municipal court offenses. Ms. Brause is of the firm belief that every individual accused of a crime is entitled to a zealous defense, and she has always ensured that she challenges the prosecution’s case and protects every client’s rights and liberties.
Her family law practice includes divorce, child custody and parenting time, child support, alimony, distribution of assets and liabilities, enforcement and modification of existing judgments and orders, and domestic violence restraining orders.
Ms. Brause’s practice also includes civil litigation in both State and Federal Court involving personal injuries, employment discrimination, and wrongful termination. Her practice also includes workers’ compensation representing injured workers and workers suffering from occupational exposures.
